Donna from Salt Lake City Utah sent me the following question. How many carbs are there in fresh made carrot juice? One cup or eight ounces of raw homemade carrot juice contains roughly thirteen grams of carbs. The carbs in carrot juice are derived almost entirely from the natural vegetable based sugar that the carrots contain. Thirteen grams of carbs is roughly five percent of the daily recommended allowance, based of course on a two thousand calorie diet. If you are looking to cut down on carbs, then carrot juice might not be the most ideal raw juice for you. Instead you might try raw spinach juice, broccoli juice, and any other low sugar vegetable or fruit based juices. Or if you are looking for a way to reduce the number of carbs within carrot juice, then you can dilute it with crushed ice or mineral water. I would like to thank Donna for sending in this question.
