We received the following question from Jonathan of Mount Kisco New York. He asked does carrot juice have a high acidity level? To answer the question, raw homemade carrot juice does contain some natural vegetable based acid, but it's substantially lower than orange juice, tomato juice, or pineapple juice. If you suffer from acid reflux or severe heart burn, then drink a little carrot juice as a test to see how your body will react. All of our stomachs react differently to various foods and beverages, and carrot juice is certainly no exception. Another way to lessen the effects of juice based acid, is to consume the beverage during or after a meal. Consuming carrot juice on an empty stomach might provoke diarrhea, or it might also cause some heat burn. We hope that answers the question, do be sure to check out our other user submitted questions and answers.
