My good friend Larry out of the beautiful city of Atlanta Georgia asked the following question. Will drinking carrot juice turn my stool orange? The answer is yes, drinking carrot can turn your stool or stools orange. This is a very normal process, as carrot juice contains tons of beta-carotene, which is the pigment that makes carrots orange. What happens is that your body absorbs only a little amount of the beta-carotene, and then flushes the rest of it out of your system. If you drink black carrot juice, then your stool or stools will also turn black from the dark pigment within that particular species of carrot. So don't freak out if you drink a couple of glasses of carrot juice, and then notice a couple of orange logs floating in the toilet. I would like to thank Larry for sending in this hilarious question, and hope our answer was sufficient. Be sure to send us any other questions or inquiries that you might have.
