My cousin Tiffany from Las Vegas Nevada sent me the following question. Will carrot juice reduce my body's cholesterol level? Some medical research has shown that drinking carrot juice regularly can reduce the body's overall bad cholesterol levels. Carrot juice is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, and other vital nutrients that are well known to combat high levels of cholesterol within our bodies. The only conflicting or potentially canceling effect within the juice, is that it contains a lot of natural vegetable based sugar. High levels of blood sugar have actually been shown to increase levels of bad cholesterol within the blood, however to what degree carrot juice will cause this to happen is unknown. So I can't really give a definitive yes or no answer on this question, but I will say that research would suggest that it does, despite the high levels of natural sugar. Many thanks for sending us the question.
