One of our guests named Darshan from Portland Maine sent in the following question. Is too much carrot juice bad for your body? The answer is yes, too much carrot juice is bad for your body. The truth is too much of anything is bad for your body, including something as simple as water. I drink between eight and twenty four ounces of carrot juice per day, and don't exceed that amount. The reason is because carrot juice contains the largest amount of dietary vitamin A out of any foods or beverages, and if you overdose on vitamin A it can lead to liver toxicity. If you ever find yourself with aching joints, really dry skin, sore muscles, then you might have too much vitamin A in your diet. So use common sense with drinking carrot juice, even if you just love the taste of it, do drink it in moderation. We greatly appreciate Darshan sending in this question.
