Many thanks to Tim from Camas Valley Oregon for sending us the following question. He asked how much vitamin A is in a glass of carrot juice? One cup of pure raw homemade carrot juice contains roughly 1000% of the daily recommended value of vitamin A. Carrot juice happens to be one of the richest sources of vitamin A on the planet, so if you are lacking this vital nutrient in your diet, then you now know where to find it. While vitamin A is essential for a broad range of bodily functions, you should make sure that you do not consume too much of the vitamin, as it could lead to toxicity. I generally don't recommend drinking more than twenty four ounces of carrot juice per day, which is roughly three cups of raw juice. Always remember that carrot juice is only one part of a balanced diet, and it should only be consumed in moderation. Thanks again Tim for sending us this interesting question.
