The following question was sent in to us by Eleanor of Boise Idaho. She asked can babies or small children drink carrot juice? As a general rule of thumb, only babies over the age of six months should drink carrot juice. You do not want to give babies under that age raw homemade juice, as it can make them sick to their stomachs. With babies over six months old, do regulate the amount of carrot juice they drink, as the juice does have a lot of natural vegetable based sugar in it. With regard to toddlers and grown children, raw homemade carrot juice is perfectly safe for them to drink. Carrot juice contains plenty of vitamins and nutrients that growing bodies need, such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B6, iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and many others. We appreciate Eleanor taking the time to email us this very interesting question. Don't forget to check out the remaining portion of our website, as we have tons of recipes and articles.
